TDI clean diesel
In the Audi Q7 3.0 TDITDISynonymous with muscular torque delivery and outstanding efficiency: TDI. Today, TDI engines are sporty, smooth and economical.TDI clean diesel quattro, the conventional catalytic converter and diesel particulate filter are supplemented by a nitrogen oxide catalytic converter with AdBlue®. Thanks to this biodegradable additive, nitrogen emissions are cut by as much as 90 percent.
Hydraulic steering
The Audi Q7 3.0 TDI quattro's hydraulic power steering features an innovative power-steering pump that adjusts its displacement as a function of engine speed. This means that only the volume of oil actually needed is delivered – the huge improvement in efficiency reduces fuel consumption and therefore also CO2 emissions.
LED technology
The LEDs are made to last the lifetime of the vehicle and the saving in power consumption that they offer is as much as half compared with conventional bulbs.
Energy recovery
The energy recovery system converts kinetic energy into electrical energy during phases when the car is coasting or being braked. When the car accelerates again, the battery directs the temporarily stored energy back into the vehicle, to relieve the load on the alternator and thereby save fuel.
